Return to Palermo for a guided walking tour of the historic center, where the city’s diverse cultural influences are revealed through its grand palaces, ornate churches, and lively streets. Day 3

Palermo - Erice - Marsala - Agrigento

Depart Palermo and travel to the charming medieval village of Erice, perched on a hilltop with sweeping views and ancient character. Continue on to Marsala for a wine tasting and light lunch at a historic local winery, sampling the flavors of western Sicily. In the afternoon, arrive in Agrigento and visit the extraordinary Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring well-preserved ruins such as the Temples of Concord, Hercules, and Jupiter. Agrigento - Ragusa Ibla - Ragusa

After breakfast, travel to the southeastern region of Sicily and explore Ragusa Ibla, the historic heart of Ragusa. Wander through the peaceful Giardini Iblei and admire the elegant Baroque architecture, including the Church of San Giuseppe, the Cathedral of San Giorgio, and the ornate Cosentini Palace. Ragusa - Noto - Siracusa - Taormina

Continue to Siracusa to explore Ortygia Island, the ancient heart of the city, rich in Greek, medieval, and Baroque heritage. Later in the day, arrive in the picturesque hilltop town of Taormina. Mount Etna & Taormina

Set out on a morning excursion to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest and most active volcano. Learn about its volcanic history as you explore the rugged, lunar-like terrain of lava fields and craters. Weather permitting, ascend to an altitude of 1,800 meters for breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Return to Taormina in the afternoon for free time to relax, explore, or shop in this romantic and historic town. Overnight stay in Taormina. (B)

Taormina

After breakfast, your journey through Sicily concludes. Depart independently according to your flight or onward travel plans. (B)
