DAY 1

Day 2

Arrival Ben Gurion Airport | Tel Aviv

Welcome to Israel! Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport, where you will be met by a IBMT Tours representative and transferred to your hotel.  With enough time on our hands, we will drive and tour Jaffa a 4000 years old city where the story of Jonna and the whale took place. Continue on our way to the hotel to check in. Dinner & overnight Grand Beach hotel in Tel Aviv.

Caesarea | Megiddo | Muchraka | Acre

Following a delicious Israeli buffet breakfast, depart Tel Aviv and drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. Visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Proceed to Muhraka, the site of confrontation between Elijah and the prophets of Baal; enjoy the spectacular view of the Jezreel valley and the lower Galilee . Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon; learn the impressive history of this battle field as you visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system, drive to Acre to visit the ancient city and harbor. Continue to Tiberias. Dinner & overnight Restal hotel.

Day 4

Tiberias | Capernaum | Banias

After a short tour of Tiberias, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, Visit Yigal Alon museum where the “Jesus boat”, an ancient fishing boat from the 1st century, is displayed. For Lunch we will enjoy the famous St. Peter fish at one of the local restaurants. Continue to Capernaum; visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of fish and loaves, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Drive to the Banias springs and waterfalls and tour the Golan Heights. Dinner & overnight Restal hotel.

Day 5

Nazareth | Cana | Beit Shean

Drive to Nazareth via Cana of Galilee. Visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s well. Drive to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan River; continue to Beit Shean, a newly excavated city, and visit the Roman theatre. Drive along the Jordan River to Jerusalem. Dinner & overnight at Prima Park Jerusalem.

Jerusalem (Old City)

Today we visit the Old City of Jerusalem.  Our appreciation of this Golden City begins with drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city; visit the Church of All Nations, King David’s tomb and the room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion. Enter within the walls of the Old City and visit the Cardo, Temple Mount (entrance to the mosques not included), Western Wall, walk along the Via Dolorosa where Jesus carried his cross, visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, walk through the colourful Arab Bazaar and Visit the Garden Tomb. Dinner & overnight at Prima Park Jerusalem.

Day 7

Jerusalem (New City) | Bethlehem*

Today’s program is dedicated to the New City of Jerusalem.  Drive to Ein Kerem to visit the Church of Visitation; proceed to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the victims of the holocaust; visit the Israel museum, shrine of the book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are housed and the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the second temple period. Proceed to Bethlehem (visit subject to the security conditions) to visit the Church of Nativity. Dinner & overnight at Prima Park Jerusalem..

Day 8

Dead Sea | Massada

Drive to Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Visit the ancient city of Qumran and drive along the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth to Massada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the second temple in 70 A.D. Ascend Massada by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system and Herod’s palace. Descend by cable car. Time and weather permitting, an opportunity will be provided to float on the Dead Sea. Dinner & overnight at Prima Park Jerusalem.

Jerusalem Day at Leisure

After breakfast time for your to do some great shopping in Jerusalem on your own and get to know the local community. Bargain...Bargain...Bargain…  Dinner & overnight at Prima Park Jerusalem.

Day 10

Flying back home to Canada

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and depending on your flight schedule take a free day sightseeing on your own before transferring to the airport for your departure back home.
