Day 1 - Thursday

Arrival | Santa Marta

Upon arrival, you will be met by IBMT Tours representative and will be transferred from Airport of Santa Marta to the selected hotel.

Day 2 - Friday

Santa Marta | City Tour

After breakfast, morning at leisure untill one of our representatives will pick you up at afternoon (around 2.00 PM) to take you on a tour along the city. Santa Marta is one of the oldest cities of South America; it was founded by the Spanish conqueror Rodrigo de Bastidas in 1525. First, you will visit some of the most emblematic places of the city as “Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino” a colonial hacienda where, the liberator Simon Bolivar died on December 17 of 1830. Then, you will enjoy a beautiful sunset at the view point of Taganga. Next visit is tour around the historic downtown where, you will visit the Gold Museum and The Principal Cathedral. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 3 - Saturday

Santa Marta (Tayrona National Park & “Playa Cristal” Tour)

After morning breakfast, a tour representatives will meet at hotel and take you on a day tour from Santa Marta to the Natural National Park Tayrona (1hour), this is a reserve of 15,000 hectares of green tropical rainforest where, you will visit the beach of Neguanje. Then you’ll have a 10 minutes ride on a wooden boat (bongo) to arrive to “Playa Cristal”. There you’ll find a beautiful beach to enjoy its clear waters and white sand. Time to take a typical lunch and return to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure and overnight.

Day 4 - Sunday

Santa Marta | Barranquilla

After breakfast, a tour representative will be waiting at hotel on schedule time, with a private land transfer from Santa Marta to Barranquilla. Arrival to the hotel of your choice and overnight.

Day 5 - Monday

Barranquilla | Historical City Tour

After morning breakfast, At the agreed time a representatives will pick you up to start a city tour. You’ll visit: El Prado Neighborhood, Los Fundadores Park, House of the Carnival, Amira de la Rosa Theater, Metropolitan Cathedral, Customs Old Building, Montoya Station, Railway Plaza, and Museum of the Caribbean. Return to the hotel, rest of the day at leisure and overnight.

Day 6 - Tuesday

Barranquilla | Cartagena

After breakfast, a tour representatives will pick you up at scheduled time for a private land transfer from Barranquilla to Cartagena. Arrival to the hotel of your choice and overnight in Cartagena.

Day 7 - Wednesday

Cartagena | City Tour

After morning breakfast at hotel, you will be picked up by tour representative from hotel to a tour around Cartagena de Indias. The tour starts at the modern neighborhoods of Bocagrande and Manga, where, you will be able to see the contrast between modern architecture and the beauty of the old houses from the twentieth century. Afterwards, you will visit the Castle where, the Spaniards sought to protect the city from the attacks of the English in the seventeenth century, “El Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas”. At the end, you will walk around the historic downtown, visiting the San Pedro Claver Church and the Emerald museum. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 8 - Thursday

Cartagena | Full Day Tour to “Isla del Encanto”

After breakfast and you will be transfer to start a full day tour to “Isla del Encanto”, this tour includes transportation on speedboat to the Rosario’s Islands National Park. “Isla del Encanto“ is located on south of the Bay of Cartagena, there you’ll enjoy coral beaches and variety of fauna of the reef, ideal for relaxing and swimming. Return to Cartagena and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

Good morning! It is now time for you to wrap this tour full of good memories of your beautiful vacation. It will be our pleasure, to plan your next tour for any of our world wide tours. After breakfast, according to your departure flight transfer to the airport for your return flight.
